Skelmorlie Camera Club was founded in 1997 by Jim Carnduff. There had previously been a photographic group of half a dozen members in the village around 1982.
Members meet most weeks on Tuesday evenings at 7.30pm from October to April in the Skelmorlie Community Centre. Click here for location map.
The club is managed by a committee elected from and by the membership. It is affiliated to The Scottish Photographic Federation (SPF).
Membership is open to all who have an interest in photography and its many facets and is not restricted to those living in Skelmorlie.
The club has a varied program of lectures, demonstrations, and competitions to cover most photographic interests including digital imaging. The primary aim of the club is that everyone should enjoy photography whatever their level of involvement or expertise.
It also aims to provide a platform for members to display their work by staging several exhibitions
in the area throughout the year.
The club is not equipment-focussed and new members can be assured of a warm and friendly welcome
regardless of their photographic equipment.
