Let me start by saying that if Santa doesn't already know what I want, then theres no use in me asking AGAIN.

Let me recommend a book or two for you to add to your lists this year.

The Adobe Photoshop CS2 Book for Digital Photographers

The Adobe Photoshop CS3 Book for Digital Photographers

The Adobe Photoshop CS4 Book for Digital Photographers

Which ever version of Photoshop CS you have (and before) this guy has a book for it. VERY easy to follow, I use it as a reference, and as such is invaluable.

I know some of you don't like him, but I do, so there's my suggestions for Dear Santa, what's your suggestion?

Well everyone if you are thinking books from Santa a must have is "Naked Scotland" by John Virtue for some stunning images with a lightly informative narrative. The book is available from his website. www.johnvphotoart.co.uk

If you would like a more weighty text an excellent book is
Real World Camera Raw with Adobe PhotoshopCS3 by Bruce Fraser and Jeff Schewe isbn-10 0-321-51867-5

I have decided to add another book to the list for those not interested in RAW.

The Art of Photoshop for Digital Photographers
by Daniel Giordan ISBN 0-672-32713-9

The first part of the book looks at techniques involved in capturing a good image with loads of easy to follow examples and the second part features explorations that demonstrate how to bring digital images into Photoshop and make them into art.

The book is presented in an easy to read format.

Not quite Dear Santa but not quite a new thread either....

I would urge you all to enter the e-Photozine prize draw.

Last year I won a fairly large stretched canvas of one of my works. The canvas was of excellent quality and the colour management perfect so I was well chuffed with my prize!!

They have tons of prizes including cameras, gadgets, photo holidays to name but a few. You just have to click on the buttons on their site - piece of cake.

Click on the link and then the banner on the home page.

www.ephotozine.com

Good luck
